Digital Objects will help artists tokenize their artworks, enabling them to issue and sell them as limited editions. Collectors of these artworks will be purchasing cryptographic titles of ownership, likely in the form of a non-fungible tokens (ERC721 or similar). Various features may be built into our smart contracts, such as royalties paid to artists upon resale, or artist-specific rules for collectors. We're looking for an experienced blockchain engineer that can help us build the required infrastructure, design smart contracts and plan ahead as the Ethereum ecosystem continues to evolve. Our application is being developed in Rust + CockroachDB + React, so experience with those technologies is preferred, though not necessarily required. This is a contracting position with high potential to convert to full-time if desired. Digital Objects is pre-launch but already backed by top VCs including Upfront Ventures, Initialized Capital, First Round Capital, and NEA. Our 6-person LA-based team has previously developed products that have scaled to tens of millions of users. We're passionate about enabling creativity and defining an entirely new way to make and collect art.
Experienced blockchain engineer
Though we've already raised funding, we're just 6 people, so this is an opportunity to be a part of a founding team with experienced entrepreneurs that have prior exits and have built products used by millions. More importantly, it's an opportunity to build something that helps artists and establishes digital art as a new medium.
